I recently enjoyed lunch at Cheesecake Factory hours behind the Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville, New Jersey with my wife. I’ll have to say, I was disappointed with the look of the restaurant, but pleased with the food, service and pricing. It’s not a bad place for couples to eat a good meal for $30, but there are several glaring issues that might be turn offs for other customers.
Let’s start with the positives. The service was great! We were seated immediately, and waited no longer than a few minutes before our waitress took our drink order. She was one of the best waitresses I actually have ever encountered, one of the most patient, probably the most professional. It absolutely was clear that she cares about her customers’ needs. We observed that our napkins were dirty, had crumbs to them, and our table had crumbs onto it. My wife’s bread plate had crumbs into it. Okay, that’s a negative, however it fits the discussion. The waitress apologized, immediately took away our dirty plates and napkins and replaced these with clean ones.
I ordered the Factory Burger, which is a hamburger, covered with cheddar cheese, served on a wheat loaf topped with sliced almonds. Fascinating! I have never eaten a hamburger over a wheat loaf. This was an excellent burger, perhaps a little too much pepper, but it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked merely the way I requested. The meal was included with a little, tin canister of shoestring fried potatoes, that had been crispy and delicious!
My partner ordered the Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, which is produced with Gemelli Pasta sauteed chicken breasts, fresh basil and fresh tomatoes. Warning for all customers! The chefs at The Cheesecake Factory LOVE pepper! My partner sent her food back because it was too spicy. The waitress was patient and kind about using the dish back and replacing it with a new one without any pepper. We can’t fault the chefs for that one! They will likely serve it to you without pepper in the event you request it this way. My wife never specified no pepper. Okay, that a person was on us! So, should you order the Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, and you also are not a fan of spicy food, be sure to specifically ask for no pepper.
Anyway, the price of that meal was just over $30. Which was affordable! I used to be a little confused concerning who exactly was serving us. Our waitress took our order and checked on us frequently, but another person brought our food to us. Actually, another unknown person introduced my wife’s replacement dish. The number of people must be involved for 2 customers? We had been talking to a waiter and didn’t know his name. I assume I could have asked, but I am a fan of the wait staff wearing name tags. Not one of them inside the restaurant were wearing name tags. I just think it adds a private touch for your customer.
I mentioned this earlier, however the table had crumbs on it, and our napkins had crumbs upon them. Additionally, the floor round the restaurant was filthy, the silverware had spots into it, the wait staff was dressed in all white (uggh) and the greeters were dressed up in all black (uggh).
The biggest issue was the menu. It’s too complicated! Pages and pages of products, wines, specials, etc. The waitress even commented on the menu’s girth. My spouse has eaten at the Cheesecake Factory before, so she includes a favorite item jpnvlz the menu, which she ordered for the sake of time. I felt like I used to be reading a novel instead of a menu! I felt rushed just as if I had to just hurry up and pick something. I have undoubtedly that everything on the menu is tasty, however for those in a rush, it could be an issue.
Okay, to sum it, the food at Cheesecake Factory menu prices was delicious, the service was great, the pricing was reasonable, nevertheless the menu was too large and also the appearance was sloppy and unkempt.
I am not a fan of checking out or wearing someone else’s leftovers. That was a massive shut off to me! That left a poor first impression for me personally! It’s not a thing that even great food or great service can overcome, in my opinion. I am going to not rush returning to The Cheesecake Factory in that particular location. I might eat there if I am because area, having said that i is not going to get out of my way to eat there down the road.
